Former deputy mayor of Lyon under Gérard Collomb, Marie-Odile Fondeur is one of the most influential figures in gastronomy. For over thirty years, she was involved in the creation and development of SIRHA, a world-leading event for catering and hospitality, where she served as executive director within GL events. She is also the founder of the Sirha Bocuse d’Or competition. Today, she leads the Foundation for Sustainable Cuisine by Olivier Ginon, president of GL events, which promotes sustainable cooking based on the excellence and social commitment of French gastronomy. A Knight of the National Order of Merit and of Agricultural Merit, she has received several "Women in Business" awards.
