MAISON GUINGUET
A family adventure in the heart of South-West France
It all began in 1950, under the Duras sun, in the Lot-et-Garonne region. Over the decades, our passion has evolved. From fruit growing to the art of chocolate making, three generations have passed down one simple secret: we never compromise on taste.
Today, Maison Guinguet is the story of a delicate balance: preserving the craftsmanship of our beginnings while imagining the chocolate of tomorrow.
Our roots lie in the land. The Guinguet family cultivated its orchards and their treasures, including the Ente plum, which would later become the famous Agen prune. These farming roots have shaped the identity of our Maison: respect for raw ingredients and an appreciation for hard work.
Praliné: our signature of local excellence
What began in our orchards in Duras has become a signature recognised throughout France. Our hazelnuts do not travel across continents; they simply cross the road.
This ultra-local sourcing allows us to control every stage, from harvesting to the creation of our homemade praliné, with its distinctive texture and flavour.
Why add artificial ingredients when nature already does things so well?
For our creations, we select exceptional fruits, including our renowned prunes and other locally sourced fruits. To preserve their full flavour, we cook them slowly, adding only the right amount of sugar to achieve the perfect balance, with no artificial colouring.
At Maison Guinguet, being a family-run SME from South-West France does not prevent us from thinking big. We believe that a company of 80 passionate people can make a difference in the world.
Our mission goes beyond indulgence: every day, it is reflected in the concrete choices we make for people and for the planet.
