CONSERVERIE SAINT CHRISTOPHE is an artisanal cannery specializing in meat, poultry, game, fish, condiments and samphire. It was created in 1990 by Mr. Eric VAN OOST and Mrs. Christine APTHORP. Today, Simon, one of the children, succeeds them. Simon Van Oost has been working in the company since 2011 and took over the management when his father retired. They started their business by selling roast chickens and terrines on the markets of the region. Gradually, the production of preserves developed thanks to the evolution of their sales. They therefore sold their roast chicken business in order to concentrate on the production of their artisanal preserves which gradually turned towards trade on a national and then European scale. ARTISANAL, AUTHENTIC AND TRADITIONAL It should also be noted that the company relies on a loyal team, some of whom have worked there since the beginning of our adventure. We offer you a wide range of pâtés, ready meals, soups, typical products from the North of France and Flanders (Terrine of salt meadow lamb, Salicornes, Pot je Vlees, Picard pâté, Flemish carbonade, whelk terrine and many other delicacies…. We guarantee you an artisanal, authentic and traditional production without the addition of chemical additives and this, in compliance with all European hygiene standards and veterinary constraints. We ensure a three-year shelf life for the manufacture of verrines. The geographical location of the company is essential in its history. Over the years, a relationship of trust has been established between the St Christophe cannery and its region. The team has developed regional products in collaboration with local producers (sheep and salt meadow lamb breeders, local slaughterhouses, the Thillard bakery for beaten cakes, etc.). At gastronomic fairs, the sales team likes to wear the colors of its region and praise its values.
