Thanks to the appeal of the trade and the evolution of  the profession, many young people as well as adults  who are retraining, opt for a career in this industry. Over 13 editions now, the “Fromagers d’Auvergne Rhône-  Alpes” contest represents the very best in the trade.

For this 2023 edition, 16 participants, will demonstrate  their know-how, skills, and professionalism in 5 tests:

• Mystery test on the participants’ knowledge of  cheeses
• Blind tasting of 5 cheeses
• A creativity test with a cheese platter
• Oral test
• Skills test

Two prizes will be awarded:

• the title of «Champion of  France 2023 » for all the tests,
• the « Philippe  Olivier Trophy » for the average of the first 2 tests.
