GECOMA was founded in 1989 by engineers from the SECMAT company, which had been manufacturing dough sheeters, dividers, volumetric weighers, dough rests, trays, and automatic groups for over twenty years. In 1995, Ets Vandenostende, based in Lille, entered the capital of Gecoma and continued to distribute its products under the VDO brand. In 2013, to consolidate its industrial development and ensure its international growth, the company joined the MECNOSUD group, a global specialist in mixing. Today, GECOMA consists of two factories, one in France and one in Italy. The company produces all of its components and manufactures all of its machines in-house. It is now a recognized specialist in bakery equipment and dough mechanization, covering all needs in this field, from mixing to shaping, including dividing, forming, and resting.
