Food Sovereignty

How to feed the big cities in the future without taking care of the food production that surrounds them? Always pushed further away from city centers, market garden production areas and livestock farms end up leaving the territories and turning towards an export market with ever increasing demand. However, it is on the proximity of the territory that our food sovereignty is largely at stake: from production to consumption, through distribution and transportation.

Public policies and citizens' initiatives intersect to ensure a local future in a time of globalization.

Speakers:

  • Jérémy Camus, Deputy Vice-President for Food (Métropole de Lyon)
  • Matthieu Gauthier, Vice-president (Bio'A Pro)
  • Arthur Grimonpont, Co-founder (Les Greniers d'Abondance)
